| Question #1 | Who owns the other funeral homes in St. Catharines? |
| Answer: | Each of the other firms are owned by large corporations in Toronto, Ontario, and Houston Texas. If you wish their names please email us at inquiries@dartefuneralhome.com, and we would gladly give you all the information you need. |
| Question #2 | What should I do if the death occurs in the middle of the night or on the weekend? |
| Answer: | Our staff of professionals is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, just call. |
| Question #3 | Will someone come right away? |
| Answer: | If you request immediate assistance, yes. If the family wishes to spend a short time with the deceased to say good bye, it's acceptable. We'll come when your time is right. |
| Question #4 | If your loved one dies outside St.Catharines, can you help us? |
| Answer: | Yes, we serve St.Catharines, as well as all surrounding communities. We can also assist you with funeral arrangements outside of the province or country, including transfering your loved one to or from another province or country. |
| Question #5 | I've never made final arrangements before. How will I know what needs to happen and when? |
| Answer: | Providing you with information is our job. We'll explain every aspect of the process, outline your options and review the costs so you'll have all the information you need to make clear decisions. |
| Question #6 | Can the George Darte Funeral Chapel help me with cremation? |
| Answer: | Yes, the George Darte Funeral Chapel has arranged cremation services for many years. |
| Question #7 | So, I've decided on cremation. Can I still have a funeral or a viewing? |
| Answer: | Yes, most of the time some sort of viewing precedes the actual cremation. We will also assist you with the necessary information for a funeral with a cremation following or a memorial service. |
| Question #8 | Is embalming required by law? |
| Answer: | No. Embalming normally is preferred if the body is viewed or held for several days. |
| Question #9 | How much will arrangements cost? |
| Answer: | Our prices are itemized. You are shown each price with full disclosure and are charged only for items you select. We also offer packaged services that are simple. For further information about fees, you are welcome to use our Quotebuilder. |
